The Great ‘Thing’
The best thing about coming to a new small town in the middle of nowhere is that most people know what it feels like to be the new person, otherwise they are currently in the same shoes as you. Therefore, even if you are a bit shy and a bit quiet, people will still make the effort to make friends with you and make sure that you’re okay.
I am so lucky that this is the case. Last night I got to go out to a local pub for some pool with a new friend I made last weekend and got to meet new people - which was fun! And tonight I am having dinner with one of the other teacher’s and her family.
